Accommodations on Chichime Island offer a charmingly rustic experience, with three distinct lodging options: shared cabins, private cabins with shared bathrooms, and private cabins with private bathrooms. Each option invites guests to fully immerse themselves in the island’s natural beauty, providing a tranquil retreat away from the fast pace of modern life.
Pricing per Person
(Minimum 2 People Required):
– 1 Night (Includes 3 meals): $190
– 2 Nights (Includes 6 meals): $270
– 3 Nights (Includes 9 meals): $350
Each additional night is $80 per person, with 3 extra meals included.
Cabin Details:
– Two private cabins with semi-private, external bathrooms, featuring natural sand floors.
– Each cabin accommodates 2 or more guests.
– Bathrooms are basic and separate from accommodations; a lock is provided for added privacy.
– Facilities include 5 toilets and 6 showers, shared among all guests.
– Most cabins do not have power outlets, but guests can charge their devices in the restaurant area in the evening.
Place of Departure
Pick-up from the lobby of your hotel or Airbnb in Panama City.
Departure Time
Between 5:00 and 5:30 AM.
Return Time
Departure from the island after breakfast, between 8:00 and 8:30 AM, arriving in Panama City between 12:00 and 1:00 PM. A later departure from the island is available for an additional fee.
Late Check-Out
For $25 per person (minimum 2 people), lunch is included, and you’ll return to the city around 7:00 PM. After breakfast, you’ll need to vacate the cabin to allow for cleaning and guest turnover. However, a secure place will be provided to store your belongings until your departure from the island around 3:00 PM.
Please notify us of your late check-out request when booking, as availability may be limited if requested on the island.
Car Trip Duration:
The drive covers 115 km from Panama City and typically takes between 2.5 to 3 hours.
Roundtrip Transportation:
We offer 4×4 transportation from your accommodation in downtown Panama City (Hotel/Hostel/Apartment). Please note, additional charges will apply for pickup or drop-off at outlying locations, ranging from $10 to $35 flat rate. These out-of-town areas include Playa Bonita Dreams ($35), Radisson Panamá Canal o Causeway Amador ($10), and Summit Rainforest & Golf Resort ($20).
For accommodations outside the downtown area, a meeting point will be arranged—this could be at a supermarket, gas station, or parking lot, which will be confirmed during the reservation process.
Lam Tours is not responsible for bookings outside the downtown pickup area.
Boat Trip Duration:
The island is approximately a 40-minute boat ride from the port.
